Terranox DTH drilling hammer

Features & benefits

• Designed for maximum performance in low-pressure operations
• Easy maintenance/repair
• Rugged and reliable
• Available in 5 sizes
• Designed with reversible cylinders

The Terranox down-the-hole hammer meets the requirements of worldwide geotechnical applications with improved hole straightness and reliable performance in a variety of challenging ground conditions. The Terranox DTH hammer comes in five sizes. Choosing the right hammer is largely determined by hole size and type of ground conditions. Ideally, the size of the hammer should match the required hole dimension as closely as possible, leaving just enough space for cuttings to evacuate the hole. Many of the Terranox hammers are designed with reversible cylinders.

To maximize drilling performance and hole cleaning capability, Terranox hammers are fitted with choke plugs that enable perfect tuning of the hammer to each occasion and use. For proper hammer performance, the geotechnical drilling rig should be equipped with a rotation unit that provides minimum torque.

DTH pipes

Features & benefits

  • Endurable
  • Reliable
  • Superior tolerance

Key features of a high quality DTH pipe are durability, accuracy and manageability. Atlas Copco Secoroc pipes are made from cold drawn piping, providing a superior surface finish and tolerance. This drastically reduces the risk of scaling from the pipes entering the hammer, a major cause of premature hammer failure. The joints are friction welded to achieve maximum strength and ensure long thread life.

This also makes coupling and uncoupling quick and simple, reducing drilling time.

Secoroc Down The Hole bits (501)

Atlas Copco Secoroc has a comprehensive range of DTH drill bits that have been designed to match all conceivable applications. Each bit, made from quality tungsten carbide steel, is precision machined to produce a perfect body. They are then heat-treated to the right hardness, facilitating excellent surface compression and fatigue resistance. Manufactured in-house, each bit is finally fitted with the required shape and sized buttons. We offer five basic bit designs: Convex, Flat front, SpeedBit, Concave, and Rocket Bit. These are designed for all types of rock, whether hard or soft, abrasive or fractured.

Adapters

Features & benefits

  • wide selection of adapters to match your needs
  • long service life

When on site, there’s always a chance that you need to use different types of pipes. That’s where Atlas Copco Secoroc adapters offer an ideal complement to your equipment. Irrespective of the types and sizes of threads, there is always an adapter available to connect your pipes together safely.
